On May 30th, The American Pops Orchestra will present APO Jukebox: The Best of The American Pops. This virtual event, hosted by Maestro Luke Frazier and Director Kelly d’Amboise, will relive our audience’s favorite moments from past APO Productions, including numbers from “The Music of Jerry Herman”, “Let’s Misbehave: Cole Porter After Dark”, “You’ve Got a Friend: Singer-Songwriter”, and “Coat of Many Colors: The Music of Dolly Parton.” Various stars from these shows will virtually join our hosts to provide performance insight and answer audience questions live throughout the event. We hope you will grab a drink and join The American Pops, past guest artists, NextGen competition winners, and more for this one of a kind performance on May 30th, 2020. Featured artists for this event include: Garrett Clayton, Nova Payton, Alexis Michelle, Claybourne Elder, MILCK, Neyla Pekarek, Mauricio Martinez, Kodiak Thompson, and Ally Dods.
Purchase a ticket or register for this show to receive a private streaming link to this event 24-hours before the event. As a viewer, you will be able to interact live with our guest artists and submit questions for them to answer throughout the event.
This by-donation, ticketed event directly supports our outreach efforts, which we continue to pursue throughout these uncertain times. Our current initiative, APO Kids Club, will deliver music kits to food pantries in under-served areas that will be given, for free, to families with young children.
The price of your ticket will fund the building of these music kits, with each kit costing $6.37 to make. We are in the process of compiling and delivering 500 kits to multiple food banks in the DC area, but have already received requests for additional packets to continue to share music with young arts lovers. We appreciate your support as we continue to pursue our mission.
